How did we form a Boundary band?

We made up the band from folk who live on the Boundary Estate and were interested in playing together. A few additional 'non-boundary' members also joined the project ... Steve who designed our poster being one!

Here's how we found the musicians:

Would you like to get involved?

If you live or work on the Boundary Estate you could you be part of making A Song for a Circus

We are interested in meeting & playing with any musicians resident on the estate from beginners to professionals ...

If you would like to know more, come along to one of our Monday musical get togethers (from the 7th of Jan '08 onwards into March from 7.00 – 9.00 at Rochelle School (studio N buzzer). Bring along an instrument or your voice & just pitch in with whatever we are practising on the night.

Your involvement with the project could take different forms: You might like to meet every Monday night & play together with other circus residents in a temporary band; you might want to play or sing a ‘sample’ which we can use for the final song or you might want to just come and hear more about idea for the project. However you’d like to be involved come along on a Monday night and meet us.

The ‘song’ will be broadcast on the AGRIFASHIONISTA.TV website and we hope to conclude the project with a live event using the bandstand on Arnold Circus - performing a song by and for estate residents. The song will also be offered to the Friends of Arnold Circus as a 'theme tune' for the Estate.
