This is our last year programming the lovely Floating
Cinema, and as part of our send-off we got to make a new
film purely from archive films, new and old, 'Repeat to Flourish' -
which we have shown both one and off the boat this summer.
Now you can watch this little gem online :-)
The word 'archive' conjures up black and white, grainy footage (and we have a lot of that lovely stuff in there) but in fact with the bold Alice Powell our editor, we sourced lots of more recent material via YouTube to use, and we are grateful to everyone who pitched in some footage for us. We found kids doing parkour, men pretending to be horses and much more besides, and as ever with old films, it's a constant delight to us film makers to see what others in your shoes have done with a camera since it was invented.
The film journeys - like the barge - along the Kennet & Avon Canal from Bristol to London, and is about 20 minutes long, with a great soundtrack from the Olden brothers.
